So i got this beauty through the post the other day. a simple silver spiked headband. (I'm kind of obsessed with spikes at the moment.) Im wearing it with a LBD from topshop. Which i love even if it is the tinniest bit see through. It's a loose fit empire line with 3/4 sleeves.
and paired with these beauties. My flowery Dms with pink ribbon laces.
Im kind of a bit obsessed with jeffrey campbell shoes at the moment. especially the first pair of shoes and the first pair of boots. just a shame I'm completely broke and cant afford them. but hay I'm 20 in a month 1/2. so hears hoping :P and If not some yummy shoes then maybe Il get blessed wit ha nice gift card for free people. A web sight which im completely obsesed with but to pore to buy anything from.
so iv dyed my hair pink, done the whole of it this time instead of just dip dying it. I used Crazy colours candy-floss and then a deeper pink on some random sections. (oh i also got my hair cut, but know not that short. just a full fringe and tiding up the ends, iv put the rest of it up in a messy knot bun- im kind of liking the long shaggyish bob though.)
so the first 2 pictures were taken the other day before i want out for the night. And the last was taken at about 3 in the next morning after being severely rained on and pander eyes.
over all i love the look. it has a kind of earthy boho grungie vibe to it. <3
These are a pair of shorts i made from a pair of my ex's jeans. And sorry to disappoint you but i didn't cut them up out hatred of for closure. He completely destroyed them playing football waiting for a bus, ripping the fabric at the crotch beyond repair (i have sewn up many of his jeans countless times) and i got them for scrap fabric.
I started by cutting the length of the legs still keeping the shorts quite long at this stage and keeping the bottom of the legs for scrap.
I then unpinned the waist band and belt loops and then unpinned the front back and side seams. (I kept the back yoke, pockets and zip in, basically because I'm lazy)
using the scrap denim i patched up the larger holes in the fabric and darned the smaller ones.
I then pinned and tacked the front and back pieces back together, putting them on to check fit and adjusting.
once i was happy with the fit i sewed the seems together using a flat welt down the center front and back, reversed lapped seam along the outer leg this left the edges exposed for a more distressed look and a kind of patchwork lapped type seem along the inside legs.
at this point i would have reattached the waist band and belt loops, only they went walkies, so I'm leaving that off, but it adds to the distressed effect.
I then cut the shorts to length and dipped in bleach. (unfortunately they turned orange not white/gray, but nether mind.
once rinsed and dried I continued by adding dome studs to the back pocket and the front and dripped and distressed the fabric.
i love the outcome, now i just need to get out and wear them ;)
A black chiffon waterfall dress which i think is from hearts and bows. (I could be wrong about that though) I love the softness of this dress as it just drapes really nicely. At my waist Im wearing a simple elasticated belt with a metal clasp.
I tied my hair up with a black ribbon at the side, and with silver: cross and spiked jewellery i believe that the look has quite a sophisticated edginess to it. A kind of grungie emoish glamor to it.
I also wore these boots on from allsaints which i love. Any way, i wore this to the private view of my college exhibition, and got quite a few compliments for what i was wearing. :)
